Dear Holidaymakers,

We reopened, following the Government guidance, on July 4th 2020! Happy days!

Please be aware that Boris has said that  “all relaxations can be reversed if necessary” so in order to minimise the risk of a second spike we have had to change a few things here:-

The park, as you may have known it before, will be a little different.

- Upon entering, the barrier will not automatically raise as before, as we have installed an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition System) and  we will need your number plate before arrival to log onto our system to give you access during your booked stay. If you need an emergency service to access the park, please get staff to open gate or use button behind caravan No.120.

- We have installed number pad key boxes and lights outside our letting caravans; we will give you the number in advance of your arrival so you will not have to physically check-in at the office – the keys will be cleaned and left in a disposable bag in the key pad box for you. In advance of your arrival, you will need to confirm with the park office on 01903 713292 or by e-mail mark@brooksideuk.com that none of your party have coronavirus or have been unwell with symptoms of coronavirus during the last 14 days.

- You should not travel to the park if you or any other member of your party has COVID-19 symptoms.

- All members of your party must be from up to 2 households whilst social distancing is mandatorily in place or we receive amended guidance. We MUST have names, contact details and addresses of all members in the party for the Government’s ‘Track & Trace’ system. We will hold onto these details for 21 days.

- We will provide at the caravan disposable cleaning cloths; antibacterial wipes; refuse bags (for used linen and tea towels) and regular cleaning products. The amount of crockery, cutlery etc at the caravan will be minimised during the period of social distancing.

- Children’s play areas at the park will be open (we are awaiting guidance on the sand pit) but the games room will remain closed during the period of social distancing.

- The park’s non-shared unisex toilet is available on a keypad entry system (code in the caravan for you) – cleaning products for door handles and touch points are available both inside and out the toilet.

- The park’s communal laundry has been repurposed during the period of social distancing into a single person (or couple from the same caravan/household) space; you will need to book a 2 hour time slot either by calling the Park Office on 01903 71329 or by e-mailing mark@brooksideuk.com ; slots are available from 6am; 8am; 10am 12pm; 2pm; 4pm; 6pm; 8pm; 10pm Monday to Sunday at 6pm when the laundry is closed for extra deep cleaning and fogging by a professional company. Laundry entry is again by a keypad code (code in the caravan for you). Due to the amount of people on the park, it may not always be possible to book a time slot – we are sorry about this – alternative laundry facilities can be found in Wick Parade (attended) or at Morrisons on the way into Wick (self-service to the North side of the store).

- Please walk freely on the park, at all times observing social distance from other park users.

- Bring soap, hand gel, gloves, toilet roll, disinfectant, hand sanitiser – just to be on the safe side.

- You may wish to bring your own supplies of food and drink if you are wary of shopping at the moment.

- If you have food deliveries or takeaways delivered to the park, you must collect them from the entrance side of the barrier as these are not permitted onto the park during the period of social distancing.

- If you are expecting post during your stay at the park, I will accept all at the main office and will try to e-mail you should any arrive (the office door is closed and I can take one person into the office apart from myself at any given time).

- Meet or gather with friends in a social group on the park.

- Invite or entertain visitors on the park. If you have come down to visit relatives, please meet up at their property rather than them come to the park.

- Allow children to roam unsupervised around the park so that they do not, albeit inadvertently, break the social distance rule.

- When it comes to vacating the caravan, please leave all of the caravan windows open on the latch (unless it is very windy/rainy); please place sheets, pillowcases, tea towels in the bags provided; lock the door/s and put the keys back in the key pad box outside the caravan. Please could you confirm with the Park Office on 01903 713292 that you have left and also that no-one in the party is feeling unwell or has symptoms or coronavirus at the time of leaving.

“Please show consideration, for our local community and respect social distance in all contacts outside the park. Local relationships are important to us all and some are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors; they will need reassurance demonstrated by your thoughtfulness”.
